We are theme park enthusiasts. Since 2014, our goal has been to bring together those with a similar passion for roller coasters and theme parks and to foster this excitement for such a unique industry.
Our club is a multidisciplinary group of students with backgrounds in engineering, design, business and more.
Our club participates in a variety of activities including Design competitions, multidisciplinary projects, networking, and professional development events, amusement park trips, and behind the scenes tours. We have weekly Thursday meetings at 8 PM in the Bamboo Room at RIT.
Julia Javorsky is a third year mechanical engineering student in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering. She has had a love of theme parks from an early age and hopes to one day work as a mechanical designer for a major theme park.
Kat is a third year Mechanical Engineering student in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering.
Jacob is a second year student majoring in Mechanical Engineering Technology in the College of Engineering Technology at RIT. He has always been interested in the creation and operation of amusement rides and hopes to one day be involved in the design of them.
Catherine Osadciw is a fourth year Software Engineering major in the Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences. She is a former Walt Disney World Cast Member in Design and Engineering, and she is passionate about the themed entertainment industry, with a career goal of returning to Disney programming new guest experiences.
Isabella is a second year student at Rochester Institute of Technology.
Mr. Tim Landschoot is a professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department of RIT and holds both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has been the advisor of the Theme Park Enthusiasts since they were founded in 2015 and has been their greatest supporter.
