We are theme park enthusiasts. Since 2014, our goal has been to bring together those with a similar passion for roller coasters and theme parks and to foster this excitement for such a unique industry.
Our club is a multidisciplinary group of students with backgrounds in engineering, design, business and more.
Our club participates in a variety of activities including Design competitions, multidisciplinary projects, networking, and professional development events, amusement park trips, and behind the scenes tours.
Mitchell is a fourth year Web and Mobile Computing student. He is passionate about programming and the theme park industry and loves working on projects that combine the two.
Kat is a third year Mechanical Engineering student in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering. She has only recently discovered her love for theme parks and roller coasters, but hopes to one day help design a roller coaster.
Patrick Swink is a third year Software Engineering student in the Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences. He would one day love to apply his knowledge learned from RIT in the themepark industry.
Travis is a third-year Mechanical Engineering student in the Kate Gleason College of Engineering. His main career interest is Ride and Show Engineering, and he has worked for Herschend Family Entertainment and SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.
Michael McNaught is a second year Industrial Design student in the College of Art and Design. He has always had a love for roller coasters, and hopes to one day work as a concept artist for theme parks.
Mr. Tim Landschoot is a professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department of RIT and holds both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has been the advisor of the Theme Park Enthusiasts since they were founded in 2015 and has been their greatest supporter.
